EVM WaveTable
A wavetable oscillator contains a table of waveforms that can be moved through
while the oscillator is playing. Pioneered by PPG with their Waveterm series of
synthersizers the EVM Wavetable oscillator reproduces this method of audio synthesis.
Features
This module loads its wavetables from *.wav files
The file format supported is 16Bit 44100Khz Mono
A wavetable may contain many waveforms. The wave input will scan from 0.0v (first wave) to 10.0v (last wave)
The smallest wavetable supported can have one waveform (256 samples) and will play as a standard wave oscillator
Loaded *.wav files are automatically sliced into waveforms of 256 samples
If a *.wav file contains an uneven number of waveforms the last waveform will be automatically truncated
Connections
On/Off - Enable/Disable the oscillator. When disabled the module will enter 'sleep' mode
Filename - Name of the file containing the wavetable data
Wave - Wave number selected from the wavetable loaded. Use a slider, ADSR, LFO etc to sweep through the wavetable in real time
Pitch - Standard 1Volt per Octave
Sync - Resyncs the waveform to the start of its wave cycle. (5v zero crossing [rising])
Output - Output
Note: This module accepts custom wavetables created with the EVM WaveTable Editor module in *.wav format
or other wave file editors that support the standard (canocial) 16Bit 44100Khz Mono file format.
